Held at Global Indian International School, the Odisha Food Festival brought together the local community to enjoy Odia cuisine and celebrate the state’s cultural heritage
The High Commission of India in Singapore, with support from Odisha Tourism, the Odia Society Singapore, and Global Indian International School (GIIS), organised the Odisha Food Festival in Singapore. The event, held at GIIS, celebrated the rich culinary and cultural traditions of Odisha, drawing participation from both the Indian diaspora and local Singaporeans.

The High Commissioner of India in Singapore honoured Chefs Mr Sambit and Mr Bijaya Kumara for their outstanding contribution to the event. The chefs, deputed by Odisha Tourism, prepared a range of authentic Odia dishes that received wide appreciation from attendees.
In addition to the culinary experience, guests also enjoyed a special exhibition of Odisha’s traditional handicrafts, organised by the Odia Society Singapore. The display offered insights into the state’s artistic legacy and was a highlight for visitors interested in Indian culture.

The event served as a cultural bridge, deepening the appreciation of Odisha’s heritage among Singapore’s multicultural population. The High Commission expressed gratitude to Odisha Tourism for their support in making the event a memorable experience for all.
