Saudi Arabia garners top honours at the 2025 Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, earning one major award and 19 medals for healthcare innovation.
The Saudi health system has received international acclaim at the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions 2025, held in Geneva, Switzerland. The Kingdom secured one prestigious award and 19 international medals, highlighting its growing leadership in healthcare innovation.
This recognition comes as part of ongoing efforts under the Health Sector Transformation Program, a key initiative of Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at delivering high-quality, sustainable healthcare and fostering a vibrant society.
Saudi Minister of Health, Fahad AlJalajel, emphasised the Kingdom’s commitment to global health progress through investment in technology, international partnerships, and patient-centric solutions. He reaffirmed the country’s goal of raising life expectancy to 80 years by 2030, driven by modern and accessible healthcare models.
The Saudi pavilion featured prominent health bodies, including the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, the Council of Health Insurance (Daman), the Saudi National Institute of Health, and the National Unified Procurement Company (NUPCO). These entities presented a range of innovative healthcare solutions that enhance patient experience, boost research and development, and promote sector sustainability.
NUPCO was honoured with a special award, while three organisations—the Health Research Institute, NUPCO, and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority—received gold medals with honourable mention. Additional gold medals were awarded to both the Health Research Institute and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority for specific innovations.
Furthermore, nine silver medals were earned by health clusters associated with the Health Holding Company, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, and the Health Research Institute. Four bronze medals were also awarded to various health clusters and the Council of Health Insurance.
