
The India Singapore Futures Forum marked the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties with discussions on new areas of bilateral cooperation
The High Commissioner of India to Singapore addressed the India Singapore Futures Forum, organised by the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) on 26 April 2025. The event commemorated the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Singapore.
In his remarks, the High Commissioner briefed the audience on recent developments in India-Singapore relations, particularly the growing collaboration in emerging areas such as semiconductors, space, cyber security, and the Green and Digital Shipping Corridor. He emphasised the significance of these partnerships in enhancing economic and technological ties between the two countries.

Professor Tommy Koh, Ambassador-at-Large at the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delivered the keynote address. He highlighted the strong foundation of India-Singapore relations and discussed how both countries could work together to navigate an increasingly uncertain global environment.


The Forum also featured insights from Professor C. Raja Mohan and Ms Chan Kah Mei, Director at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, who shared their perspectives on “India-Singapore Partnership: What Does the Future Hold?”. In addition, thematic sessions explored cooperation in key sectors including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, financial technology, and space.
