Children’s Season returns to the National Museum of Singapore with interactive experiences that highlight the role of migrants in shaping the nation’s past and present.

The National Museum of Singapore (NMS) presents this year’s Children’s Season with the launch of Get Curious! Building Our Singapore, running from 24 May to 29 June 2025. Held alongside the museum’s SG60 commemorative exhibition Once Upon a Tide, the programme invites families to reflect on how migrants—both past and present—have contributed to Singapore’s growth, identity, and continued global impact.

Aimed at children aged three and above, this year’s edition features an engaging blend of interactive installations, creative workshops, and heritage-inspired activities. Young visitors can explore a mama shop-inspired space, participate in storytelling sessions, meet historical characters, and even design thank-you cards in recognition of migrant workers’ contributions. The experience is designed to foster curiosity, encourage intergenerational conversations, and instil a deeper appreciation of Singapore’s diverse roots.

Visitors can expect an enriching schedule of activities from 10am to 6pm daily, with selected programmes taking place on weekends. While general admission is free, some workshops and guided sessions require pre-registration or a ticket purchase.

By incorporating both play and learning, Get Curious! 2025 supports the museum’s mission to make history accessible and engaging for all ages. This initiative not only adds vibrancy to the June school holidays, but also aligns with Singapore’s 60th year of independence by highlighting the contributions of different communities in shaping the nation.
