Government bodies, financiers, and Halal authorities converge in Hanoi and Singapore to unlock new trade potential.
The Vietnam-Singapore Halal Trade Seminar 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, 24 May 2025, aiming to enhance bilateral cooperation in the rapidly expanding Halal industry. This hybrid event will convene in Hanoi and Singapore, with online participation available via Zoom.
Organised collaboratively by the Vietnam Trade Office, the Commission for Standards, Metrology and Quality of Vietnam, the Vietnam Halal Certification Authority (HALCERT), Maybank Singapore, and Dawn Horizon, the seminar seeks to address the growing global demand for Halal products and services.
The Halal market, currently valued at approximately US$2 trillion, is projected to reach US$5 trillion by 2030, presenting significant opportunities for exporters in both nations.
Vietnam as one of the top global food exporters has yet to fully capitalise on the Halal sector. To address this, the Vietnamese government has initiated a national strategy to develop the Halal industry by 2030, emphasising international cooperation and standardisation.
The seminar will feature insights from government officials, industry leaders, and market experts, focusing on Halal certification procedures, trade regulations, and market opportunities within ASEAN and beyond.
