
The Ministry of DoNER will host the Rising North East Investors Summit at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, showcasing investment opportunities across key sectors
The Rising North East Investors Summit 2025 took place from 23rd to 24th May at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Organised by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India, the summit aimed to highlight the Northeast as a new frontier for India’s economic growth.
The event provided a platform for investors, industry leaders, and policymakers to explore the vast potential for trade and investment in the Northeast region. Focus sectors included agriculture and food processing, textiles and handicrafts, entertainment and sports, education and skill development, healthcare, IT and IT-enabled services, tourism and hospitality, infrastructure and logistics, and energy.
The summit emphasised the Northeast’s strategic role as a manufacturing and services hub, not only for eastern India but also for ASEAN and the Bay of Bengal Network (BBN) markets. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the region’s incentive and policy framework designed to facilitate business expansion beyond India’s borders.
By fostering alliances and partnerships, the Rising North East Investors Summit sought to support a clear vision for sustainable development in the region, encouraging growth in both manufacturing and services sectors.
