SICCI’s latest Business Mixer fused tradition with opportunity at the Indian Heritage Centre, welcoming new members with culture and connection
The Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) hosted its signature Business Mixer on 23 May 2025 at the Indian Heritage Centre (IHC) in Little India. This edition, themed around cultural appreciation and purposeful networking, formed part of IHC’s 10th anniversary celebrations.
Chairman of the IHC, Mr R Rajaram, along with board members and curators, welcomed around thirty new members of SICCI alongside the chamber’s board of directors, executive director, and secretariat staff. The event’s warm and inclusive setting enabled newcomers to feel at ease while exploring the centre’s vibrant exhibits.

Mr Rajaram shared that nearly one million visitors have walked through IHC’s doors since its inception, underscoring its significance as a cultural institution. He urged SICCI members to promote the centre, especially among youth, to preserve the rich history and contributions of the Indian community in Singapore.
Following a guided tour of the IHC, SICCI’s Executive Director Ms Jamuna Rani Govindaraju provided an overview of the Chamber’s initiatives, trade missions, and services available through the SME Centre. She highlighted the benefits of membership, including networking, expert access, and business growth opportunities.

New members represented a broad spectrum of industries, from information technology and AI to spices trading, ship repair, ayurvedic health, banking, and consultancy. Certificates were presented by Membership Subcommittee Directors Mr T Mogan and Ms Joyce Kingsly, with Director Mr Jagdish Prasad Jaiswal also in attendance. The evening concluded with a networking dinner, where business cards and ideas were enthusiastically exchanged.
