First US-branded K–12 private school opens admissions on 1 June 2025 in Changi Business Park, bringing Riverdale Country School’s legacy of excellence to Asia.
Singapore’s international education landscape welcomes a significant milestone as RD American School (RDAS) announces its official launch, with admissions opening on 1 June 2025. The school, located at Changi Business Park, is developed in exclusive partnership with Riverdale Country School, a century-old academic institution ranked the top K–12 private school in the United States by Niche.
RDAS represents the first US-branded Top 100 K–12 private school in Singapore. The partnership brings Riverdale’s forward-thinking educational approach and distinguished heritage—boasting alumni such as President John F. Kennedy—to the region. The school is designed by internationally acclaimed architect Trung Lê, featuring open-concept, reconfigurable classrooms that foster interaction, inquiry, and collaboration.
At the core of RDAS’s philosophy is the “Flourish Framework”, which integrates academic rigour with student well-being, character development, and purpose-driven learning. Backed by science-based pedagogical methods and led by Dr Kevin Mattingly, Director of Learning at Riverdale and Columbia University professor, RDAS educators undergo intensive training to deliver classroom experiences rooted in neuroscience and cognitive psychology.
With the school’s formal launch set for January 2026, RDAS aims to redefine learning in Singapore through a personalised, student-centred education model. As interest in holistic and future-ready schooling grows, the arrival of RDAS marks a new chapter for families seeking American-style education grounded in innovation and values.
