Vietnamese officials explore trade and investment collaboration with Singapore’s manufacturing sector during a courtesy visit on 26 May 2025.

On 26 May 2025, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) welcomed a high-level delegation from Khanh Hoa Province, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, led by His Excellency Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of the People’s Committee and Party Secretary of the province. The courtesy visit marked a significant step in enhancing bilateral economic cooperation between Singapore and Vietnam, particularly in the areas of trade, manufacturing, and investment.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in productive discussions on potential areas of collaboration, including opportunities for Singaporean manufacturers to invest in Khanh Hoa’s expanding industrial zones. The dialogue also highlighted mutual interest in sustainability, smart manufacturing practices, and the future trade missions and business-matching initiatives. These efforts aim to deepen commercial linkages and promote knowledge exchange between the two economies.

Representing SMF were President Mr Lennon Tan, Chief Executive Officer Mr Dennis Mark, and Council Members Mr Christanto Suryadarma and Mr Wayne Sim. The SMF leadership reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating cross-border partnerships that contribute to ASEAN regional development and growth.

The visit reflects the growing momentum behind ASEAN collaboration and showcases the shared ambition to harness complementary strengths for sustainable industrial progress. SMF looks forward to further engagement with Khanh Hoa Province and to opening new avenues for its members to expand into regional markets.
