General Anil Chauhan met with Singapore’s Defence Minister Chan Chun Sing during the 22nd Shangri-La Dialogue to discuss regional security cooperation
On 1 June 2025, during the sixth plenary session of the 22nd Shangri-La Dialogue held in Singapore, General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff of India, called on Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Defence of the Republic of Singapore. The dialogue focused on the theme “Enhancing Security Cooperation for a Stable Asia-Pacific.”
In their meeting, General Chauhan apprised the Minister of the evolving security landscape in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), with particular emphasis on Operation Sindoor, a key initiative in maintaining regional stability. The discussion highlighted the importance of strengthening strategic collaboration between the two nations.
This engagement represented a significant step forward in advancing security cooperation and strategic synergy between India and Singapore, reinforcing their shared commitment to a stable and secure Asia-Pacific region.
