Specialised health services deployed from Qiddiya to Mina to safeguard pilgrims’ wellbeing during the Hajj.
The Riyadh First Health Cluster has launched a comprehensive series of health initiatives as part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to support the wellbeing of pilgrims during the 1446H/2025 Hajj season. Central to this effort is the “Pilgrims’ Health Tent 2025” project at the Qiddiya pilgrim reception centre, which provides both medical and educational support to pilgrims as they transit through the Riyadh region on their journey to the holy sites.
The initiative falls under the “Hajj with Good Health” campaign, in collaboration with governmental and charitable partners. Its aim is to provide proactive care for pilgrims before they arrive in Makkah. The services offered include preliminary health screenings and immediate medical consultations administered by qualified healthcare professionals.
In a move to broaden outreach, the cluster also introduced mobile services targeting bus drivers and pilgrims travelling via the Makkah highway. These services deliver on-the-go health assessments and essential preventive advice to ensure road safety and early detection of health concerns during the journey.
Complementing on-site services, a 24/7 health consultation hotline has been activated, educational kits and gifts have also been distributed to pilgrims and transport personnel as part of the health promotion effort. These initiatives underscore the Kingdom’s broader objective to elevate the standard of healthcare provided during the Hajj pilgrimage, which draws millions of Muslims globally each year. The Riyadh First Health Cluster reaffirmed its commitment to making the Hajj season a benchmark for international healthcare delivery.
