City-state recognised as leading sustainable travel destination in Asia Pacific region.
Singapore has been included in Wanderlust magazine’s Travel Green List™ 2025, emerging as the only Southeast Asian destination recognised under the Asia Pacific category. The annual list highlights global destinations that are setting high standards for responsible and sustainable tourism.
This accolade acknowledges Singapore’s consistent efforts to make tourism more climate-conscious, inclusive, and environmentally responsible. The city-state was recognised for its innovative blend of sustainability and visitor experience, incorporating green infrastructure, eco-friendly transport, and conservation-led tourism into its urban environment.
The Singapore Tourism Board expressed appreciation to its industry partners and stakeholders for their ongoing support. “We’re honoured by this recognition, which affirms our long-term commitment to responsible tourism — where innovative sustainability practices meet meaningful experiences for travellers and locals alike”. the Board stated.
