Over 140 Thai nationals joined a dialogue on employment security and professional networking in Singapore.

Singapore, On 5 June 2025 The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, in partnership with the Thai Association of Singapore, hosted the Legal Advice and Thai Business Networking Event 2025, an initiative designed to support Thai nationals residing and working in Singapore. The event was presided over by H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, and attended by more than 140 participants, including students and members of the Thai business community.

Held at the embassy premises, the event aimed to respond to growing concerns among Thai professionals regarding job stability amid global economic uncertainty. In her opening address, Ambassador Ureerat highlighted the embassy’s commitment to addressing the evolving needs of the Thai community, particularly by providing access to legal guidance and professional development platforms.

The keynote session, titled “Insider Tips for Successful Employment and Job Security”, was delivered by Mr. Sanjiv Rajan, a partner at the law firm Allen & Gledhill. Mr. Rajan provided practical insights into employment rights, contract management, and navigating job termination. The talk concluded with a live Q&A session, allowing attendees to seek legal clarification and advice directly from the speaker.

Following the legal seminar, a business networking session enabled Thai professionals from various sectors to engage in meaningful discussions and forge new connections. The gathering fostered greater collaboration and solidarity within the Thai diaspora in Singapore.
