More than 15,000 roses transform the Flower Dome, marking Singapore–UK ties through myth and history.
SINGAPORE — Visitors to Gardens by the Bay this summer will step into a romantic medieval dreamscape as Rose Romance 2025 returns to the Flower Dome from 27 June to 20 July 2025. The immersive floral display breathes new life into the legend of King Arthur while celebrating 60 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and the United Kingdom.
More than 15,000 roses of 65 varieties have been carefully arranged to evoke scenes of chivalry, courtly love and medieval lore. At the heart of Rose Romance lies a recreated Welsh castle village inspired by Caernarfon Castle, believed by some to be the real-world Camelot. Guests can relive the timeless tale of young Arthur drawing the sword from the stone, affirming his destiny as Britain’s true king. Inside the castle, visitors are invited to sit at a Round Table within to be part of Arthur’s legendary fellowship of knights.
The journey extends beyond Arthurian myths to England’s Tudor era. A Tudor-style house pays homage to the War of the Roses, in which a civil war ended when two rival families whose symbols were the white rose and the red rose united in marriage, thus birthing the glorious Tudor era.
This year’s edition of Rose Romance promises an experience that blends horticultural artistry with storytelling, transporting guests into a world where myth and bloom intertwine under the iconic glass dome. Usual admission charges to the Flower Dome apply, with tickets available online or onsite.
