The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), led by Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Investment Promotion and Facilitation) Mr Sivasuriyamoorthy Sundara Raja, has successfully concluded a strategic working visit to major players within Malaysia’s electrical and electronics (E&E) and semiconductor ecosystem.

The visit, supported by MIDA Kedah and MIDA Penang, brought together engagements with leading industry names including SilTerra Malaysia, Broadcom Malaysia, Benchmark Electronics, and ASE Electronics. These sessions provided MIDA with first-hand insights into operational developments, industry challenges, and the companies’ future growth strategies.

The working visit also served as an important platform for MIDA to highlight the wide range of business facilitation and investment incentives available to firms operating in Malaysia. These initiatives are designed to help companies advance towards higher value-added activities, embrace automation, adopt smart manufacturing practices, and implement robust ESG standards.

By continuing such proactive engagements, MIDA reaffirms its commitment to fostering industry growth and enhancing Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for high-value manufacturing.
