In a significant move to deepen India–Singapore relations, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, concluded a productive visit to Singapore, where he met with top dignitaries and industry leaders. His engagements underscored Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to building strategic international partnerships in areas such as infrastructure, the knowledge economy, renewable energy, and urban planning.

The Chief Minister met with H.E. Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore. In their discussions, both leaders explored new avenues for collaboration, particularly in semiconductor technology, sustainable urban development, and the advancement of Amaravati as a smart city. Hon’ble Chief Minister stated, “A great pleasure to meet with HE Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore. As we begin a new chapter in Andhra Pradesh’s role in strengthening India–Singapore partnership, we discussed collaboration in areas such as knowledge economy, infrastructure, semiconductors, Amaravati development, urban planning, and renewable energy.”

Furthering his diplomatic agenda, Mr Naidu held talks with Singapore’s Senior Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong. The two leaders deliberated on enhancing bilateral cooperation and fostering long-term economic engagement between Singapore and Andhra Pradesh, contributing meaningfully to the broader India–Singapore partnership. Hon’ble Chief Minister: “It was a pleasure to meet with Hon’ble Senior Minister of Singapore, Mr Lee Hsien Loong, to discuss various opportunities for collaboration between Singapore and Andhra Pradesh, contributing to the broader India–Singapore partnership.”

The Chief Minister also met with Mr Sanjiv Dasgupta, CEO of CapitaLand Investment India, to discuss the proposed airport-port economic corridor linking Hyderabad, Bangalore, Amaravati, and Chennai. In addition, Mr Naidu hosted a dialogue with CEOs from leading Singapore-based companies, encouraging investment in Andhra Pradesh’s maritime and logistics sectors.

During his visit, Mr Naidu toured Jurong Island, Singapore’s integrated petrochemical and energy hub. The tour provided valuable insights into world-class industrial planning and reinforced the potential for adopting similar models in Andhra Pradesh’s industrial development efforts.
