The young basketball team from Cavite paid a courtesy call ahead of their participation in the Starlight International Youth Basketball Open 2025
SINGAPORE – On 14 August 2025, His Excellency Medardo G. Macaraig, Ambassador of the Philippines to Singapore, received the NBL Youth – Pilipinas South Cavite basketball team at the Philippine Embassy.
The team is in Singapore to take part in the Starlight International Youth Basketball Open (SIYBO Singapore), scheduled from 15 to 17 August 2025 at the Bukit Canberra ActiveSG Sports Hall. The competition will bring together youth basketball teams from across the region to showcase talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The Philippine Embassy has called on the Filipino community in Singapore to support the NBL Youth – Pilipinas South Cavite (U13 category) and Siklab Bataan Team (U14 category) as they represent the Philippines in the international tournament.
