Dialogue focused on industrial cooperation, innovation, and opportunities in manufacturing and emerging sectors.

SINGAPORE, 5 September 2025 – The Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) hosted a visiting delegation from Jiujiang City, China, at the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC). The meeting was led by Ms Audrey Yap, Vice President of SMF, and Ms Shi Lan, Director of the Jiujiang Municipal Commerce Bureau.

During the exchange, the Jiujiang delegation presented an overview of the city’s modern industrial ecosystem. Key areas highlighted included electronic information, new energy, petrochemicals, food processing, and building materials. The group also shared insights into Jiujiang’s emerging industries, such as the low-altitude economy, hydrogen energy, and applications of nuclear technology.

A notable development discussed was the official approval of the China-Singapore (Jiangxi) Industrial Park (SGIP), which follows the signing of a cooperation agreement. The project is expected to provide new opportunities for collaboration and contribute to strengthening bilateral economic ties.

The visit concluded with an industry cluster sharing session focusing on Medical Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Automation. Both sides exchanged perspectives on innovation trends and potential partnerships in these sectors.

The engagement is part of SMF’s continued efforts under its S.H.I.P. strategic framework, particularly the Internationalisation pillar. Through such initiatives, SMF seeks to expand opportunities abroad for its members and foster stronger connections with overseas partners in the evolving manufacturing landscape.
