Two signature cultural events are previewed together by the Indian Heritage Centre and Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, in collaboration with SCCCI.

Singapore, 24 September 2025 — The Indian Heritage Centre (IHC) and Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall (SYSNMH) collaborated on a joint preview of two of their signature cultural events, providing a glimpse into Singapore’s vibrant multicultural celebrations. The preview, held in collaboration with the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI), combined highlights from the Deepavali Open House and the Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival 2025.

The event showcased a colourful range of performances, exhibitions and festive activities. Visitors enjoyed dramatised skits, such as Divine Tales – Special After Dark Drama in the Gallery by AKT, dance showcases by Sarva Fine Arts, and hands-on craft stations where families created lotus ornaments, floral tealight holders, and festive postcards. A preview of the Deepavali Festive Market introduced participating vendors Aadambara, offering ethnic fashion, and Regal Lifestyle SG, presenting jewellery collections.

From SYSNMH, the Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival preview brought live music by Little Band Plus, outdoor lantern installations such as Guppy Glow: Lights of Harmony, as well as heritage exhibitions including At the Chinese Restaurant: Memories and Traditions and Mid-Autumn Festival: A Taste of Reunion. Visitors also sampled mooncakes by Thye Moh Chan and tea by Camellia Tea Bar while exploring a creative marketplace featuring local brands and artisans.

Apollos Tan, Senior Manager (Culture, Education & Community) at SCCCI, added that such initiatives strengthen cultural understanding and shared heritage. The full editions of the Deepavali Open House and Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival will roll out across their respective venues, offering the public a wide range of festive experiences in the weeks ahead.
