Step into a radiant celebration of Indian heritage and floral splendour as Gardens by the Bay unveils a breathtaking recreation of Jaipur’s Ajmeri Gate amid a sea of golden sunflowers
Visitors to Gardens by the Bay are in for a cultural and visual treat as the Sunflower Surprise floral display takes centre stage at the Flower Dome. This year’s showcase features a stunning recreation of the Ajmeri Gate, one of the grand entrances to Jaipur, India. Serving as a symbolic gateway, it welcomes visitors into a field of vibrant sunflowers that radiate joy and warmth.
The Ajmeri Gate, renowned for its iconic pink limewash, holds a special place in Indian architectural history. Its distinctive hue was introduced in 1876 to welcome the Prince of Wales, marking the moment when Jaipur earned its nickname — the Pink City. The meticulously crafted replica at Gardens by the Bay pays tribute to this timeless beauty, blending art, history, and horticulture in one immersive experience.
