Singapore, 11 November 2025 — The Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) hosted a productive delegation visit from Startup Terrace Kaohsiung last week, marking another milestone in advancing the Taiwan–Singapore Startup Exchange Programme. The meeting, held at SMF headquarters, underscored both sides’ commitment to expanding bilateral collaboration in technology-driven industries and supporting innovation across the manufacturing sector.

The Taiwanese delegation included representatives from the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore and 11 pioneering startup teams specialising in advanced technologies. The discussions centred on deepening cooperation in deep tech, smart manufacturing, and sustainable industrial transformation — all crucial to the region’s evolving innovation landscape.

During the dialogue, SMF provided key insights into the challenges faced by local manufacturers undergoing digital transformation, and shared perspectives on Singapore’s business ecosystem. In turn, the visiting startups gained a clearer understanding of the pathways to enter and grow within Singapore’s competitive market environment, strengthening mutual learning and partnership opportunities.

The meeting reaffirmed both parties’ commitment to building a connected and resilient innovation ecosystem between Taiwan and Singapore. Participants recognised the potential for greater collaboration in industrial upgrading, green technology integration, and talent exchange initiatives that will enhance competitiveness and accelerate sustainable growth.

SMF extended its appreciation to the Economic Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore, Startup Terrace Kaohsiung, and all participating teams for their active engagement. The Federation emphasised that such partnerships are key to shaping the future of smart manufacturing — one defined by collaboration, innovation, and shared regional progress.
