On 30 January 2026, Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., presided over a reception held on the occasion of Royal Thai Armed Forces Day. The event was organised by the Office of the Defence Attaché of the Kingdom of Thailand at the Royal Thai Embassy.

In her remarks, Mrs Chanrachakul reaffirmed the close and cordial relationship between the Royal Thai Armed Forces and the Singapore Armed Forces. She highlighted the importance of bilateral and multilateral cooperation frameworks, joint military training exercises, and regular exchanges of visits, which together have formed a strong foundation for defence cooperation between the two countries.

The Royal Thai Embassy was honoured to welcome Kelvin Fan, Chief of Air Force of Singapore, as the Guest of Honour. His presence underscored the close professional ties and mutual respect shared by the armed forces of both nations.

The reception was attended by more than 200 guests, including representatives from the Ministry of Defence Singapore, the Singapore Armed Forces, foreign Defence Attachés, and members of Team Thailand in Singapore, reflecting the broad support for Thailand–Singapore defence engagement.

Royal Thai Armed Forces Day is observed annually on 18 January to commemorate the bravery and sacrifices of Thailand’s ancestors and armed forces in safeguarding the nation’s land, sovereignty, and security.
