
High Commissioner Attends Utkal Divas 2026 Celebration in Singapore Showcasing Odisha’s Cultural Heritage
The High Commissioner of India to Singapore participated in the Utkal Divas 2026 celebrations, jointly organised with the Odia Society of Singapore. The event highlighted the cultural heritage of Odisha and aimed to promote cultural exchange within the Indian diaspora.

The celebration featured an exhibition of traditional handicrafts from Odisha, offering attendees insights into the region’s artistic traditions. Visitors engaged with displays that reflected Odisha’s craftsmanship and cultural identity.
A key highlight of the programme was a live demonstration by Sudam Pradhan, an internationally recognised sand artist. He created a sand sculpture of the Konark Sun Temple and presented artistic interpretations of historical landmarks from Odisha alongside iconic sites in Singapore.
