Senior Minister of State Low Yen Ling highlights key priorities at Food & Hospitality Asia 2026 in Singapore, drawing global industry leaders together.
Singapore officially opened the Food & Hospitality Asia (FHA) 2026 event with remarks from Senior Minister of State Low Yen Ling at the Singapore Expo. The event, organised by Informa Markets, brings together industry leaders, exhibitors, and buyers from across Asia, Europe, Australia, and other regions.
The opening ceremony was attended by key figures including Ian Roberts, Diego Canga Fano, and Artis Bertulis, along with international guests and business partners. The event takes place in 2026 at the Singapore Expo, where all 10 halls are fully occupied, marking a major milestone for FHA as Asia’s leading food and hospitality trade fair.
In her speech, Low Yen Ling emphasised three main priorities for Singapore’s food and hospitality sectors: staying globally connected, advancing sustainability, and pursuing innovation. She noted that FHA plays a key role in helping businesses build networks and expand into new markets. Between 2022 and 2025, nearly 200 companies under the Singapore Pavilion secured about $140 million in sales through the event.

This year, FHA is expected to attract 80,000 attendees from 115 countries, with the Hosted Buyers Programme expanding significantly to 800 buyers. Initiatives such as Enterprise Singapore’s “Flavours for the World” exhibition aim to help businesses understand global tastes and improve buyer-supplier matching through interactive experiences and data insights.
On sustainability, Low highlighted the launch of a refreshed Sustainability Playbook by Enterprise Singapore. The guide provides companies with tools to meet environmental standards, improve resource efficiency, and explore circular economy opportunities. She also pointed to local foodtech company Prefer as an example of innovation, turning food by-products into sustainable alternatives like bean-free coffee and cocoa-free chocolate.
Innovation was identified as another key driver for growth, especially in areas such as elderly nutrition and functional foods. Programmes like the “Sip & Savour” Accelerator have supported companies in developing products for global markets, including showcases at events like Natural Products Expo West.
The Singapore Pavilion at FHA 2026 also features new products such as the ‘Gutti’ line by Annabella Patisserie, offering high-protein and gut-health-focused items.
