The annual community run gathered 1,500 participants in Singapore to promote fitness, solidarity and community engagement
The Filipino community in Singapore gathered on 17 May 2026 for PAL Run 2026 powered by the Business Network Group (BNG), held at Arena Park outside the OCBC Arena in Singapore. Organised by the BNG and spearheaded this year by Philippine Airlines (PAL) in celebration of its 85th anniversary, the annual community run brought together Filipinos and friends of the Philippines in support of wellness, camaraderie and community engagement.

The event formed part of ongoing initiatives by Filipino organisations and businesses in Singapore to strengthen community ties among overseas Filipinos through sports and shared activities. According to organisers, approximately 1,500 participants joined this year’s edition, marking the largest turnout in the history of the BNG Run series and nearly doubling participation numbers from previous years.
The BNG Run was established in 2018 by seven Filipino companies in Singapore — HFSE Global Education Group, MDCruz, Megaworld, LBC Singapore, Noblelife, Philippine National Bank and Philippine Airlines. Since its inception, the event has served as a regular platform promoting health, wellness and solidarity within the Filipino community abroad.
For the first time, the 2026 edition introduced competitive categories for the 21-kilometre and 10-kilometre races, expanding the event’s sporting component. Additional 5-kilometre and 3-kilometre races were also organised to encourage participation across different age groups and fitness levels.
Consul General Joyleen E. Santos of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore delivered welcome remarks and officiated the ceremonial flag-off for runners and participants. In her remarks, she described the BNG Run as “a meaningful community tradition” that continued to unite Filipinos through fitness, teamwork and shared purpose. She also congratulated Philippine Airlines on its 85th anniversary and acknowledged the airline’s longstanding role in connecting Filipino communities across countries.
Personnel from the Philippine Embassy in Singapore also participated in various race categories alongside members of the community. The embassy commended the organisers, sponsors, volunteers and participants for the successful conduct of the event and for their continued efforts in fostering unity and engagement among Filipinos in Singapore.
