
ASEAN representatives and United Nations officials met at the ASEAN Headquarters to discuss stronger cooperation and shared regional and global concerns.
The Interface between the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN and the UN Delegation was held earlier today at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta.
The meeting was co-chaired by Evangeline T. Ong Jimenez-Ducrocq, Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN, and Khaled Khiari from the United Nations.
During the discussions, both sides explored ways to strengthen the ASEAN-UN Comprehensive Partnership. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern, including cooperation in peacebuilding, political affairs, and multilateral engagement.
The meeting highlighted the continued commitment of ASEAN and the United Nations to maintain close collaboration in addressing global challenges and promoting regional stability.
