Malaysia’s newly appointed High Commissioner to Singapore, H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, officially presented her Letter of Credence to President H.E. Tharman Shanmugaratnam at the Istana on 21 July 2026, formally commencing her diplomatic mission in Singapore.

A career diplomat with more than three decades of experience, H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan joined Malaysia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994. Before assuming her current appointment, she served as Deputy Secretary-General (Management Services) at the Ministry from 2023, overseeing key administrative and management functions.
Her extensive diplomatic career includes serving as Malaysia’s High Commissioner to Canada from 2021 to 2023 and Ambassador to Ireland between 2017 and 2018. She has also represented Malaysia at the Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York and the Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office at Geneva, contributing to the country’s engagement in multilateral diplomacy.
The presentation of credentials officially establishes H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan as Malaysia’s chief diplomatic representative in Singapore. Her appointment comes as Malaysia and Singapore continue to strengthen cooperation across areas including trade, investment, connectivity, security, education and people-to-people exchanges, supported by regular high-level engagements and close bilateral relations.
