A total of 228 Filipino healthcare practitioners in Singapore successfully completed the 2026 TESDA Overseas Assessment Programme, strengthening the recognition of their professional skills through nationally recognised certifications. The initiative reflects the Philippine government’s continued commitment to making skills assessment more accessible for Filipinos working overseas.
A total of 228 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Singapore have successfully obtained Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) certifications after completing the 2026 Overseas Assessment Programme. Organised by TESDA in coordination with the Migrant Workers Office (MWO)-Singapore, the programme was conducted in two batches from 5 to 7 July 2026 and from 18 to 21 July 2026.
The competency assessments were held simultaneously at Care Academy and Aims Learning International, providing convenient access for Filipino professionals seeking formal recognition of their skills while working abroad. The programme focused on healthcare-related qualifications, reflecting the significant contribution of Filipino healthcare workers in Singapore.
During the assessments, participants underwent competency evaluations for Caregiving NC II, Caregiving (Elderly) NC II and Health Care Services NC II. These nationally recognised certifications validate the knowledge and practical skills of Filipino healthcare practitioners, enhancing their professional credentials and supporting future career opportunities both in Singapore and internationally.
The Overseas Assessment Programme forms part of the Philippine government’s ongoing efforts to make skills assessment and certification services more accessible to Filipinos working overseas. By bringing TESDA’s assessment services closer to migrant workers, the initiative helps ensure that their competencies are formally recognised and aligned with industry standards.
