The Sabah Trade & Tourism Office Singapore (STTOS) reaffirmed its commitment to advancing Sabah’s trade and tourism presence in Singapore during a courtesy call on the High Commissioner of Malaysia. The meeting highlighted shared priorities and preparations for the upcoming Sabah Fest 2026.
The Sabah Trade & Tourism Office Singapore (STTOS) paid a courtesy call on the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, Her Excellency Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, reaffirming the strong partnership between both parties in promoting Sabah as a premier destination for trade, investment and tourism in Singapore.
During the meeting, STTOS Managing Director Ms Wendy Clare Stephens outlined the organisation’s strategic direction, objectives and ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing Sabah’s visibility and strengthening economic and tourism linkages with Singapore. The discussion reflected STTOS’ continued efforts to position Sabah as an attractive destination for business opportunities, cultural exchange and leisure travel.
Among the key initiatives highlighted was the upcoming Sabah Fest 2026, themed “Experience Sabah 2.0”, which will be held at Marina Square, Singapore, from 14 to 16 August 2026. The event is expected to showcase Sabah’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant tourism offerings, distinctive cuisine and locally produced goods, while creating opportunities to foster stronger people-to-people and business connections between Sabah and Singapore.
The High Commissioner welcomed STTOS’ continued efforts to raise Sabah’s profile in Singapore and expressed appreciation for the organisation’s contribution to strengthening bilateral engagement through trade and tourism promotion. Both sides also exchanged views on opportunities for closer collaboration in support of Malaysia’s tourism and economic objectives.
The High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore looks forward to deepening its cooperation with STTOS and working together on future initiatives that promote Sabah’s unique attractions, encourage greater visitor arrivals, and further strengthen the longstanding ties between Malaysia and Singapore.
