
The participation highlighted Venezuelan coffee, cocoa and industry engagement at the international food and hospitality exhibition in Singapore.
H.E. Jessica María López Piña, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Singapore, participated in the opening of SIGEP Asia & Restaurant Asia 2026, where Venezuelan producers showcased their products while engaging with regional industry representatives and international partners.

Venezuelan producers from the APROARCA Producers Association of Mérida State represented the country at the SIGEP Asia Coffee Village, highlighting Venezuela’s coffee sector at the international exhibition. The Ambassador also met SIGEP World Ambassador and Singaporean chef and artist Janice Wong, who presented her “Chocolate Panel” installation featuring more than 3,000 Domori chocolates made with Sur del Lago cacao from Venezuela.
At the invitation of Mr Hai Poh Cheong, President and Founder of the International Food & Beverage Association and President of Hospitality Alliance Singapore, H.E. López Piña joined a roundtable discussion titled “From Globalisation to a Multipolar Reality”. The discussion brought together representatives from Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia to exchange perspectives on developments in international trade, regional cooperation and opportunities to develop more inclusive and diversified value chains.
