Pakistan’s High Commission in Singapore hosted a Mango Festival featuring the country’s renowned Chaunsa and Sensation mangoes, bringing together government officials, diplomats, business leaders, media representatives and members of the Pakistani-Singaporean community to celebrate six decades of Pakistan-Singapore diplomatic relations.
The Pakistan High Commission in Singapore hosted a Mango Festival on Friday, 8 August 2026, showcasing Pakistan’s world-renowned mangoes as part of a series of events commemorating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Singapore. Mr Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, attended the event as Guest of Honour, which brought together representatives from government, the business community, diplomatic corps, media and the Pakistani-Singaporean community.
The festival offered guests an opportunity to discover the distinctive qualities of Pakistan’s premium mango varieties, including the renowned Chaunsa and Sensation. A specially curated menu highlighted the mangoes’ exceptional taste, aroma and quality, allowing attendees to experience one of Pakistan’s most celebrated agricultural products while gaining a deeper appreciation of the country’s rich agricultural heritage.
Addressing the gathering, H.E. Rabia Shafiq, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Singapore, highlighted the unmatched taste of Pakistani mangoes and the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening people-to-people connections. She noted that the High Commission organises such events to introduce Singaporeans to Pakistan’s diversity and hospitality, while deepening ties between the peoples of both countries as they mark 60 years of diplomatic relations.
The event also featured a screening of Salam Pakistan, a short video showcasing Pakistan’s breathtaking landscapes, tourist attractions and rich cultural heritage, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony. Guests expressed their appreciation for the vibrant aroma, smooth texture and naturally sweet taste of the mangoes, underscoring the appeal of Pakistan’s premium produce.
Beyond celebrating Pakistan’s culinary and cultural heritage, the Mango Festival served as a platform to promote Pakistan’s agricultural exports and introduce its premium mangoes to the Singaporean market. The event highlighted opportunities to expand bilateral trade while celebrating the enduring friendship and partnership between Pakistan and Singapore, which has continued to develop over six decades of diplomatic relations.
