Mongolia and Singapore discussed carbon markets, green energy, trade and investment cooperation.
H.E. Dr. Uyanga Ganbold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Singapore, met Ms. Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, on 1 September 2026. Their discussions focused on Mongolia–Singapore relations especially in the sector of trade and investment, carbon markets and the green economy.
The two sides discussed implementing their carbon credits cooperation agreement under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, as well as opportunities to support renewable energy and projects linked to Mongolia’s transition from coal to green energy.
Minister Fu expressed Singapore’s readiness to support capacity building for relevant Mongolian officials, including training through the Singapore Cooperation Programme. She also discussed facilitating closer links between businesses in both countries.
