Thai Ambassador in Singapore Holds Courtesy Calls with Two Financial Institution Representatives
H.E. Waraphannee Damrongmanee, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, received courtesy calls from representatives of two financial institutions on 20 and 21 September 2026. The meetings provided an opportunity to discuss and exchange views on business and financial developments, as well as matters related to Thai businesses operating in Singapore.
On 20 September, the Ambassador welcomed Mr. Chawitrat Piyawatayakorn, Senior Executive Vice President and Branch Manager of Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, Singapore Branch. The meeting focused on an exchange of views concerning business and financial developments.
On 21 September, Mrs. Waraphannee received Ms. Waroonrat Kanjanawat, Vice President, Private Banking, UOB Singapore, for a separate courtesy call. The discussion likewise covered business and financial developments.
During the meetings, the Ambassador reaffirmed the Embassy’s readiness to support Thai businesses operating in Singapore and to promote opportunities for business networking. She also highlighted the Embassy’s role in facilitating Thai trade and investment in Singapore.
The courtesy calls provided an opportunity for the Ambassador to engage directly with representatives of financial institutions operating in Singapore and exchange views on developments relevant to the business and financial sectors.
The meetings also reflected the Embassy of Thailand in Singapore’s engagement with the financial and business community, particularly in relation to supporting Thai businesses and facilitating trade and investment between Thailand and Singapore.
Through these courtesy calls, the Ambassador and the financial institution representatives exchanged views on business and financial developments while discussing ways in which the Embassy could support Thai businesses, business networking, and Thai trade and investment activities in Singapore.
