The Chinese Embassy in Singapore and Business China successfully co-organised the Bilateral Relations Forum 2026. The event featured in-depth discussions on enterprise resilience and strategic cross-border market expansion.
The Singapore-China Bilateral Relations Forum 2026 was successfully held recently, serving as a vital platform for strategic diplomatic and economic dialogue. The significant event was co-organised once again by the Chinese Embassy in Singapore alongside Business China. Guided by the theme “Navigating a New World Order: Advancing Singapore–China Cooperation”, the forum addressed far-sighted and timely global issues.
The successful execution of the forum relied heavily on dedicated local partnerships. Deep appreciation was expressed to Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Ms Kwek Poh Heok, and all the colleagues from Business China. Their tremendous support and hard work were important in bringing the collaborative event to success.
The gathering also welcomed international guests who added significant value to the proceedings. Special thanks were extended to Ambassador Zhai Jun, the Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue, and his accompanying team. They notably took time out of their busy schedules to attend the forum in Singapore.
During the forum’s panel sessions, prominent business leaders from both China and Singapore engaged in impressive, in-depth exchanges. A primary focus of these high-level conversations was exploring how modern enterprises can build greater resilience amidst a shifting economic landscape.
Furthermore, the panels provided actionable strategic insights into cross-border expansion. Participants discussed how Chinese companies can effectively leverage Singapore as a springboard to expand into Southeast Asian and broader international markets. Conversely, they also examined how businesses within the region can strategically approach and navigate the vast Chinese market.
