Located within Berjaya Times Square, the attraction features a neon-lit indoor arena equipped with entertainment technology and two racing modes: The Apex Predator and Kart Wars. Each session lasts 10 minutes, giving participants a short but adrenaline-filled experience.
Before entering the track, all players receive a safety briefing and instructions on operating the go-karts. Players are also provided with a balaclava mask before putting on a helmet, with helmet sizes ranging from S to XXL. Long-haired participants are required to tie their hair up, while all players must wear long trousers and closed-toe shoes.
The Apex Predator: Pure Electric Racing
For those who enjoy speed and traditional racing, The Apex Predator focuses on lap times and driving skills. The electric go-karts can reach speeds of up to 35 km/h, with drivers required to navigate the circuit while managing acceleration, braking and steering.
Once the race begins, participants compete to complete their laps as quickly as possible. The circuit’s corners and layout require concentration and control, making the experience suitable for visitors looking to test their racing skills in an indoor setting.
Kart Wars: An Interactive Racing Experience
Kart Wars adds a gaming element to the racing experience. Instead of relying solely on speed, players interact with the track to collect virtual items and power-ups during the race.
These power-ups can be used against other drivers or to enhance the player’s own kart. For example, certain items can slow down opponents, while a rocket booster provides a temporary speed boost. The combination of racing and interactive features creates a more unpredictable experience, particularly for groups competing against one another.
Parents and accompanying visitors can watch the action from the side of the track, where benches are provided. Screens display the real-time ranking and movement of the karts, while the results at the end of the session show information such as lap times, power-ups used and overall rankings. Participants can also take photographs at the podium after their race.
Tickets and Requirements
A 10-minute Go-Kart @ BTSKL session is priced at RM49 per person. Visitors who already have a Berjaya Times Square Theme Park ticket can redeem a 10-minute game on the same day for RM29.
Booking is currently not required, with sessions available on a walk-in basis.
Participants must be at least eight years old, with a minimum height of 130 cm and a maximum weight of 100 kg. Long trousers and closed-toe shoes are compulsory, while a balaclava must be worn under the helmet. Participants may also use their own racing helmet and balaclava.
The attraction operates from 12.00pm to 9.00pm on weekdays and 11.00am to 9.00pm on weekends and public holidays.
