Annual event promoted healthy lifestyles, mental well-being and unity among Thai workers.
H.E. Waraphannee Damrongmanee, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, presided over the annual Thai Labour Sports Day 2026 on Sunday, 27 September 2026, at Kranji Recreation Centre in Singapore. Organised by the Office of Labour Affairs in Singapore, the event encouraged healthy lifestyles and positive mental well-being among Thai workers and members of the Thai community.
The annual sports day provided an opportunity for Thai workers and community members in Singapore to participate in physical exercise and recreational activities in a social setting. The programme also aimed to promote unity and friendship within the Thai community through sports and shared activities.
Participants took part in a range of sporting and recreational activities during the event. These included tug-of-war, football and relay races, alongside traditional games that provided opportunities for participants to engage in team-based activities.
The programme also featured recreational activities such as singing contests, adding a social and cultural element to the day. The activities were organised to encourage participation and interaction among members of the Thai community.
The event was organised by the Office of Labour Affairs in Singapore as part of its engagement with Thai workers and the wider Thai community. Ambassador Waraphannee’s presence at the event highlighted the participation of the Royal Thai Embassy in community activities involving Thai nationals in Singapore.
Through sports, traditional games and recreational activities, Thai Labour Sports Day 2026 provided a setting for participants to exercise, interact and spend time together. The event also supported the promotion of healthy lifestyles and positive mental well-being among Thai workers and community members in Singapore.
