Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming attended and spoke at the “Putian Meets Singapore” business exchange and investment promotion event, an initiative aimed at deepening commercial ties between the Chinese city of Putian and Singapore’s business community.
In his remarks, Ambassador Cao highlighted the strength of Putian’s key industries, including fine arts and crafts, China-chic cultural products, footwear and apparel, and specialty foods. He noted that these sectors are thriving, with quality products that carry Chinese cultural heritage and contemporary appeal increasingly reaching markets both across China and internationally.
The event brought together business communities from both Putian and Singapore, providing a platform for companies to explore partnerships and identify shared commercial interests. Ambassador Cao expressed hope that the gathering would help businesses from both sides find greater common ground and open up new space for mutually beneficial cooperation.
