Singapore Grand Prix welcomed 301,294 spectators, with new sprint racing and entertainment features.
The Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2026 attracted 301,294 spectators to the Marina Bay Street Circuit from 9 to 11 October, recording the second-highest attendance in the event’s history. The 17th edition of the race weekend featured the debut of the F1 Sprint Race in Singapore, expanded hospitality offerings and entertainment programmes for visitors.
Held at the home of Formula 1 night racing, the sold-out event recorded its highest attendance since the circuit layout was changed in 2023. Spectators filled the grandstands and walkabout platforms to watch the sprint race and prepare for the 62-lap Grand Prix main event.
Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen won the inaugural Singapore Sprint Race and secured pole position for the Grand Prix. The 29-year-old Dutchman had not previously secured a pole position or race victory at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, making his performance a notable development in his 2026 campaign.
Following his Sprint victory, Verstappen said: “It’s great to come to a circuit where we’ve struggled in the past and be competitive.” He added: “We’ve done everything right up until now – but the most important thing tomorrow will be getting a clean start.”
The 2026 edition also recorded a new attendance record for hospitality facilities. Visitors could choose from more than 11 hospitality offerings, including the Formula 1 Paddock Club™ and TWENTY3. The latter featured pop-up restaurants led by chefs with a collective total of 30 Michelin stars.
Off-track attractions included a new floating Barge Stage in Zone 1, which hosted performances by DJ Snake, Major Lazer Soundsystem and Rev Run. An expanded Waterside enclave in Zone 4 provided additional spaces for visitors to dine and rest beneath the trees.
The event’s Race Day entertainment programme featured performances by Lana Del Rey, Janet Jackson, James Arthur and Mark Ronson, alongside other performers.
The 2026 Singapore Grand Prix combined international motorsport competition with hospitality and live entertainment at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, attracting more than 300,000 spectators over the sold-out weekend.
