New Zealand and Australian High Commissioners and the Defence Forces invite you to commemorate Anzac Day at Kranji War Cemetery.
ON Thursday, April 25, 2024, High Commissioner Gabrielle Rush of New Zealand and High Commissioner Allaster Cox of Australia, together with the New Zealand and Australian Defence Forces, cordially invite the public to join them for the Anzac Day Dawn Service at Kranji War Cemetery. The service will commence at 06:30h, with guests encouraged to arrive before 06:15h. No registration is required for this solemn occasion.
Anzac Day, marking its 109th anniversary is when New Zealand and Australia unite to honor the soldiers who fought in World War 1, particularly at Gallipoli in Turkey. The day has since expanded to commemorate the service and sacrifice of all personnel who have served in the interests of New Zealand and Australia, as well as acknowledging the sacrifices made by their families.
In Singapore, this significant event is commemorated at Kranji War Cemetery. It serves as a memorial to approximately 30,000 allied personnel, including those from New Zealand and Australia, who lost their lives in the defense of Singapore during World War 2.
