Winners of the Entrepreneurship World Cup were announced at the Biban24 forum, with Saudi company MisMar securing the top prize of $200,000.
12 November 2024, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — The Entrepreneurship World Cup 2024 culminated yesterday at the Biban24 forum, with MisMar from Saudi Arabia taking the top prize of $200,000. N&E Innovations from Singapore claimed second place, receiving $140,000, while Sommalife from Ghana secured third place and a prize of $70,000.
This year’s competition saw over 100 startups from more than 50 countries vie for a share of the total prize pool, which amounted to $1 million. The Entrepreneurship World Cup serves as a global platform for entrepreneurs, offering not just financial rewards but also essential tools, resources, and training programs to help transform ideas into successful businesses. The competition is particularly focused on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing them with opportunities to connect with mentors and industry experts through intensive boot camps and tailored training sessions.
Organised by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), in partnership with the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk) and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), the Entrepreneurship World Cup aims to cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit across the globe. GEN, which operates in over 200 countries, focuses on fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and job creation.
