Fahad AlJalajel met Saudi students in Melbourne during his visit to Monash University, highlighting their role in Vision 2030 and the importance of investing in human capital.

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health, Fahad AlJalajel, met with Saudi students at Monash University in Melbourne, one of the world’s leading academic institutions. The meeting formed part of his official visit to Australia.

During the discussion, AlJalajel emphasised the role of Saudi students abroad as representatives of the Kingdom, particularly as it undergoes ambitious reforms under Saudi Vision 2030. He encouraged them to serve as ambassadors of progress, contributing to national development while gaining valuable international experience.

The minister also outlined the Human Capability Development Programme, a key initiative under Vision 2030. The programme aims to prepare students for global competition by providing future-ready skills, adopting international best practices, and aligning academic training with evolving labour market demands. It also seeks to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among the younger generation.

AlJalajel noted that thousands of Saudi students continue their postgraduate studies abroad under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Programme, which reflects the leadership’s commitment to strengthening human capital.

This meeting concluded the minister’s visit to Melbourne. He will next travel to Canberra to continue engagements focused on advancing Saudi-Australian cooperation in sustainable healthcare.
