On 22 October 2025, Singapore hosted the Singapore–China Business Roundtable, co-chaired by Premier Li Qiang of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and Singaporean government and business representatives. The meeting marked the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and China and provided a platform for dialogue on strengthening trade and economic collaboration.

During the discussions, both sides exchanged perspectives on opportunities to enhance bilateral business links, drive innovation, support sustainable growth, and create good jobs for their respective populations. Singapore emphasised its commitment to fostering a conducive environment for cross-border trade and investment, while China highlighted avenues for further collaboration in emerging industries.

The roundtable brought together leading business leaders from Singapore and China, enabling the exchange of ideas on joint ventures, digital economy initiatives, and other high-growth sectors. Participants discussed practical steps to strengthen business networks and expand economic cooperation between the two countries.

Singapore expressed appreciation to Premier Li Qiang, his delegation, and all attending business leaders for a fruitful dialogue. The engagement reinforced Singapore’s ongoing commitment to deepening bilateral trade and economic relations with China.
