New Delhi, 6 November 2025 — The 16th edition of the Indian Navy–Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) Staff Talks was successfully concluded in New Delhi, reaffirming the enduring naval partnership between the two nations. The meeting was co-chaired by Rear Admiral Nirbhay Bapna, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Foreign Cooperation and Intelligence), and Colonel Ooi Tjin Kai, Head of Naval Operations of the Republic of Singapore Navy.

During the discussions, both delegations reviewed the progress of existing defence and naval cooperation activities, highlighting the steady growth of the India–Singapore maritime partnership over the years. The talks provided an opportunity to assess ongoing initiatives, including joint naval exercises, information sharing, and capacity-building programmes.

The two sides also exchanged perspectives on regional maritime challenges and explored new avenues to deepen collaboration in areas such as maritime domain awareness, anti-piracy operations, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR). Both navies reaffirmed their shared vision for a secure and open Indo-Pacific region underpinned by mutual respect and international law.

The meeting underscored the importance of continued engagement between the Indian Navy and the Republic of Singapore Navy in strengthening interoperability and fostering trust. The outcome of the talks set a positive trajectory for future cooperation, reflecting the growing strategic convergence between India and Singapore in safeguarding maritime security and stability in the region.
