Singapore and Namibia share longstanding ties, dating back to Singapore’s participation in its first United Nations peacekeeping mission in 1989, when a police contingent was deployed to support Namibia’s transition to independence. The visit reaffirmed both countries’ intention to build on this foundation and further strengthen bilateral relations.
