Vietnamese dairy company Lof International Dairy Limited has approved a US$29 million investment to establish a subsidiary in Singapore, underscoring the city-state’s appeal as a regional financial and investment hub.
Vietnamese dairy producer Lof International Dairy Limited has formally approved plans to expand its international footprint with the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore. The new entity, Lof Singapore Pte Ltd, represents a total investment of US$29 million and marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in global markets.
According to a resolution by the company’s Board of Directors, Lof will set up the subsidiary in compliance with Singaporean regulations. The company will be headquartered at Paya Lebar Square, a prominent office and commercial hub that hosts numerous international firms and technology start-ups. The decision highlights Singapore’s continued attractiveness as a base for regional and international business operations.
The primary mandate of Lof Singapore Pte Ltd will be to conduct financial investment activities, including providing funding and acquiring equity stakes in companies based in Singapore. Through these activities, the subsidiary is expected to play a direct role in the management and operations of affiliated entities, while supporting the company’s efforts to expand its business ecosystem and enhance its position within the global value chain.
Industry observers view the move as a strategic step to leverage Singapore’s transparent regulatory framework, well-developed financial system, and strong global connectivity. By establishing a presence in Singapore, Lof aims to access broader international markets while strengthening its corporate governance and investment capabilities.
The expansion also reflects a broader trend of Vietnamese enterprises using Singapore as a launching platform for overseas investments. Supported by a stable legal environment, extensive network of trade agreements, and status as a leading financial centre in Asia, Singapore continues to play a key role in facilitating cross-border investment and economic cooperation between Vietnam and the wider region.
