Songkran Thai Street Party 2026 showcases Thai culture and heritage in Singapore
The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore announced its support for the “Songkran Thai Street Party 2026,” organised by Folks Collective, as part of efforts to promote Thai culture and heritage in Singapore. The event aims to raise public awareness of Thailand’s traditional New Year celebration.

Held at Cross Street Exchange, the two-day event provides a cultural platform for both local residents and international visitors to experience the traditions of Thailand. The celebration follows the recognition of Songkran as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, highlighting its cultural significance.
The programme features a combination of Thai cultural festivities, live music performances, and authentic street food offerings. These elements reflect the festive spirit of Songkran while showcasing Thailand’s cultural identity and creative industries as part of its broader soft power outreach.
The Embassy emphasised the importance of such cultural initiatives in strengthening people-to-people ties and enhancing cross-cultural understanding between Thailand and Singapore.
The public is invited to attend the event on 10–11 April 2026, with expectations of strong participation from the community and visitors interested in experiencing Thai culture in Singapore.
