The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the Digital Government Authority, in cooperation with the World Bank Group, organised the “Saudi Day of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence” at the World Bank Group headquarters in Washington, D.C.. The event convened representatives from government institutions, international organisations, academia, and industry.

The forum was held as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international engagement in digital governance and emerging technologies. It provided a platform for dialogue on advancements in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, as well as opportunities to enhance institutional cooperation and knowledge exchange.

Discussions during the sessions addressed global trends in AI governance, including the development of regulatory frameworks and the need for responsible and ethical deployment of AI technologies. Participants highlighted the importance of expanding international cooperation to support trustworthy and transparent AI applications.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also presented its national progress in digital transformation, data governance, and artificial intelligence. These initiatives reflect ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency of government services and strengthen the country’s position in the global digital economy.

The event concluded with a shared emphasis on continued collaboration among governments, international organisations, and stakeholders to advance innovation while ensuring responsible governance. Further engagements are expected to build on the outcomes of the forum and support the development of inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystems.
