The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Singapore held a Holy Eucharist at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd on 5 July 2026 to honour the victims of the earthquakes that struck Venezuela on 24 June 2026. The religious service, conducted during the Sunday Mass, provided an opportunity for members of the diplomatic community, government representatives and the Venezuelan community in Singapore to offer prayers and pay tribute to those who lost their lives and those affected by the disaster.
The Eucharistic celebration took place at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd and was organised by the Embassy as part of Venezuela’s observance of the national mourning declared following the earthquakes. The service gathered members of the Embassy, representatives from the Directorate for the Americas of Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the accredited diplomatic corps, the Venezuelan community, and friends of Venezuela in Singapore. The occasion served as a solemn moment of remembrance and solidarity with the people of Venezuela.
During the homily, special prayers were offered in memory of the victims of the earthquakes, while intentions were also dedicated to the recovery of those injured and the well-being of communities affected by the disaster. The service emphasised the importance of compassion, unity and hope during times of national tragedy, while reaffirming the shared humanitarian values that unite communities across borders.
