Malaysia and Singapore reaffirmed their shared commitment to multilateralism, international law and global peace during an introductory meeting between their senior foreign affairs officials. The discussion also highlighted the importance of continued cooperation at the multilateral level.
On 12 August 2026, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, paid an introductory call on Ms. Ng Boon Yian, Director-General (International Organisations) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on multilateral diplomacy and developments involving various international institutions, with particular attention to the United Nations.
