India and Singapore will review bilateral cooperation and identify new opportunities under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Roadmap.
The fourth India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) will be held in Singapore on 20 August 2026, bringing together senior ministers from India and Singapore to review progress in bilateral cooperation and identify new opportunities under the Singapore-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) Roadmap. The ministerial-level platform serves as an important mechanism for advancing cooperation in new and emerging areas and strengthening the implementation of priorities agreed by both countries.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry (Trade) Gan Kim Yong will lead the Singapore delegation, which will comprise Senior Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs K Shanmugam; Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan; Minister for Digital Development and Information and Minister-in-charge of Cybersecurity and Smart Nation Group Josephine Teo; and Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Finance Jeffrey Siow.
The Indian delegation will comprise Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of External Affairs Dr S. Jaishankar, Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, and Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada. During their visit, the Indian ministers will interact with their Singaporean counterparts and call on Singaporean leadership. They will also call on Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong and will be hosted to lunch by Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong.
The ISMR is an important platform for driving cooperation between India and Singapore across new and emerging areas. Its inaugural meeting was held in New Delhi in September 2022, followed by the second meeting in Singapore in August 2024 and the third meeting in New Delhi in August 2025. The fourth round will review progress on initiatives discussed during previous meetings and identify further avenues to strengthen bilateral collaboration.
Discussions under the ISMR have covered advanced manufacturing, connectivity, digitalisation, healthcare and medicine, skills development and sustainability. These areas have contributed to the development of the Singapore-India CSP Roadmap, which was unveiled during Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s visit to India in September 2025 and provides a framework for advancing cooperation across a range of strategic sectors.
Alongside the ministerial meeting, the fourth India-Singapore Business Roundtable will also be held in Singapore. The Business Roundtable serves as a strategic and advisory forum for key business leaders from both countries and provides a platform for business-to-business, government-to-business and institutional engagements.
Minister Piyush Goyal will lead an approximately 70-member Indian business delegation during the Singapore visit. The delegation will undertake B2B, G2B and institutional engagements, while Goyal will hold high-level Government-to-Business discussions and visit an APEDA-FairPrice initiative aimed at promoting Indian agri-food exports in Singapore.
The fourth ISMR and accompanying business engagements will provide both countries with an opportunity to review ongoing initiatives, deepen cooperation across priority sectors and identify new areas for collaboration. The discussions will support continued implementation of the Singapore-India CSP Roadmap and contribute to further strengthening the bilateral partnership through government and business-level engagement.
